Renewable Energies have taken center stage in recent years – it has been accepted on both sides of the aisles that a national energy mix has to prominently feature renewable energies. Biomass, Wind and Solar Thermal as well as Photovoltaics are the most meaningful sources of renewable energy. All of these sources have been prominently been applied in Germany and throughout the European Union. The session of individual presentations will focus on idiosyncrasies of market segments and technologies within the renewable space.
Subsequent to the presentations, the distinguished experts on the panel will discuss merits of the renewable energy market. Afterwards, the AIW invites the audience to engage in multiple conversations over "Bier und Brezn." The Working Group on Industry and Business represents various interests of physicists with industry and/or business work experience. AIW holds its Industrietag annually, embedded in a DPG conference. Additionally, AIW is responsible for a laboratory visitation program called "Ein Tag vor Ort." Each Industrietag strives to facilitate AIW’s responsibilities towards graduates, enabling them to better understand professional challenges and facilitating a successful transition towards their professional life.
