WE-Heraeus Communication Program
Communication Program – Call for proposals 2008
Call for proposals 2008 of the Promotion Program of Communication of young scientists of the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Stiftung and the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft e.V.
Young generation scientists are one of the main target groups the activities of the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Stiftung are addressed to. Therefore in 1989 the foundation together with the DPG established a program that gives young physicists in an early period of their scientific career (Diplom, Master or PhD thesis) the opportunity to present their own scientific results to a censorious audience. Within the frame of this program the active participation at the DPG Spring Conferences and at the conferences of the EPS and the IUPAP is financially granted. A necessary condition is that the conference takes place in Europe.
By individual grants young conference participants, who are getting no travel grants from their university or their scientific institution or who are getting only partly support, are enabled to visit the conferences in Germany. Entitled to make an application under the Communication Program are authors or co-authors of a conference contribution such as a lecture or a poster which has been submitted and was accepted by the administration of the appropriate scientific board of the DPG. Promotion is possible only for one participant per contribution. Exclusively DPG members in the fee categories E, A and 3 (in fee category 3: only Diploma, Master and PhD students) are being supported.
